Providing nursing care of children in community setting including wound management, intravenous medication, complex and continuing care, palliative and end of care, neonatal nursing care.

The children’s community nursing team has experienced paediatric nurses who provide care and support to babies, children and young people aged 0 to 15 (and 16 to 18-year-olds with complex needs) who live in Haringey and the ‘N’ postcodes of Enfield.  

They also care for cancer patients in the ‘EN’ postcodes of Enfield. 

End of life care for children services are provided at home in conjunction with local palliative care teams.

Referrals to the night service can be made Monday to Sunday 5.00pm to 7.00am.

The team is here to support children in enjoying life, not simply experiencing it as patients, while also supporting families as more than just carers.

The Association for Paediatric Palliative Medicine represents all doctors, nurses and allied health professionals working in the area of Paediatric Palliative Medicine in hospital, hospice and community settings. It seeks to support practice and training for all doctors and other health professionals working in this area of medicine. 

Together for Short Lives have a helpline and family support hub to provide help and advice for those caring for a child with a serious illness.

Life Force is a team of specialists, who provide care and support to families who have a child with a life limiting or life threatening condition living in the boroughs of Camden, Haringey and Islington.
